Terms of Use

Draft, awaiting legal review
This is a working draft. It has not yet been reviewed by an attorney, and it will be before Hey Fremont opens to the public. The rules below are what we intend to enforce, and we will enforce them from day one either way.

1. Who can join

Hey Fremont is a free community for people who love Downtown Las Vegas. You must be 18 or older to create an account. By joining you confirm that you are. Accounts found to belong to anyone under 18 are removed.

Many downtown bars, casinos and events are 21+. Being a member here does not change that. You are responsible for following each venue’s age rules and Nevada law, including the laws on drinking and gambling.

2. Your content stays yours

You keep ownership of everything you post. You give us permission to store it and show it to the people you chose to share it with, and to make the copies and resized versions needed to do that. Delete it and we stop showing it.

3. What you promise about what you post

4. Accounts

You are responsible for your account and your password. One person, one account, unless we agree otherwise (for example, a business page managed by its owner). You can deactivate at any time, or delete permanently.

5. Meeting people and going to events

Hey Fremont helps people meet up and find things to do. We do not vet members, and verification only confirms that a face matches a profile; it is not a background check. Meeting anyone from the internet in person carries risk. Meet in public, tell a friend where you are going, use the safety check-in, and never drive after drinking.

Meet Ups and events are organized by members, hosts and businesses, not by Hey Fremont, unless we clearly say otherwise. The organizer is responsible for their event.

6. Business pages and reviews

Some business pages are created from publicly available information before the business claims them, so details such as hours and prices may be out of date. Check with the business before you go. A business that claims its page is responsible for what it posts there.

Reviews must describe your own real experience. Do not post fake reviews, review a business you own or work for, or accept anything in exchange for a review without saying so. We may remove reviews that break these rules.

7. Points, contests and prizes

Points, credits and badges are for fun. They have no cash value and cannot be sold or transferred. Any contest, challenge or scavenger hunt with a real prize will have its own official rules, which apply alongside these terms.

8. Links to other sites

Hey Fremont links to businesses and websites we do not control. Some links may be affiliate links, which means we may earn a small commission if you book or buy through them, at no extra cost to you. We will label them.

9. What we do not promise

Hey Fremont is provided as it is, and we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for what members or businesses post, or for what happens at meetups, events or venues listed here.

10. Ending things

We can suspend or remove accounts and content that break these terms. You can leave whenever you like.

11. Changes

We may update these terms as Hey Fremont grows. If a change is significant we will tell members on the site before it takes effect.
